My favorite local band in the history of Pittsburgh is doing their first massive tour to promote their first LP (after 4 7” releases in 5 years) titled “Copsucker” (yes, that is indeed the best album title you’ve heard in awhile). They are playing at La Poisson Rogue on Bleeker between Sullivan and Thompson on Saturday, February 4th at 9pm. Here’s the ticket information page.
Why should you go see this band? Because they’re not only the best local band Pittsburgh has to offer, but they are flat out one of the most refreshing bands I’ve heard in their respective genre. In the 10+ times I’ve seen them over the past 4 years the story consistently seems to be that every show they play is the best show they’ve ever played. I’m banking on this band becoming massive because of this tour (as massive as a Stooges-influenced/Protopunk band in 2012 can get anyway).
But you don’t have to take my word for it. The debut track on the album really speaks for itself.
